Job Summary & Job Duties

Develop motion control to robotically apply thermal spray coatings to semiconductor capital equipment parts.

Perform DOEs to optimize thermal spray processes.

Analyze technical manufacturing problems and implement practical, data-driven solutions.

Support daily production activities to improve quality, yield, and cycle time.

Design and improve fixtures, jigs, and tooling to support coating, masking, and inspection operations.

Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions and specifications.

Investigate nonconforming product, customer issues, and process deviations; implement corrective actions.

Support incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities including dimensional and visual/UV inspection.

Utilize CAD software to create drawings and models supporting tooling and equipment.

Assist with equipment troubleshooting, maintenance coordination, and supplier interaction.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts.

Maintain a strong commitment to safety and cleanroom practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work directly with manufacturing processes.

Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).

Familiarity with GD&T, SPC, FMEA, and dimensional inspection is desirable.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

1-3 years of experience in manufacturing/process engineering or a similar engineering role, preferably in high-precision manufacturing; thermal spray coatings experience preferred. Lean/Six Sigma exposure (Kaizen participation; Green Belt a plus).

Experience working with MES/ERP systems and structured change control/document control.
