The Document Control Specialist is responsible for developing, maintaining, and administering quality system documentation to ensure manufacturing and support processes are accurately documented and controlled in accordance with the Quality Management System and applicable standards.

This position partners with Quality, Engineering, and Operations to capture process knowledge and translate it into clear, accurate, and controlled documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and related materials. The position manages the document control system and ensures documentation remains current, traceable, and audit-ready throughout the document lifecycle.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and maintain quality system documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, process flows, and forms, by partnering with subject matter experts to accurately capture new and existing processes.
  • Administer the document control system, including creation, revision, approval, release, distribution, and archival of controlled documents.
  • Ensure only current, approved documentation is available for use and obsolete documents are properly controlled.
  • Maintain document revision history, traceability, and retention in accordance with quality system requirements.
  • Coordinate documentation updates resulting from engineering changes, process improvements, audit findings, and corrective actions.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure documentation accurately reflects approved manufacturing and support processes.
  • Lead the Triennial Document Audit per Quality Assurance Manual (QAM).
  • Support internal and external audits by retrieving controlled documentation and maintaining audit readiness.
  • Track and support closure of documentation-related corrective actions.
  • Communicate document changes to affected stakeholders and support implementation of updated documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement of document control processes and systems.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of experience working with quality systems, document control, or process documentation in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills
  • Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to translate operational processes into clear, accurate, and usable documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy across multiple controlled documents
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts across manufacturing, engineering, and support functions
  • Working knowledge of document control principles and quality system requirements
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity of controlled information
