• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Must be proficient in programming, set up and operation of all manual and CNC equipment.
  1. Programs sets up and operates various types of machine tools and equipment such as CNC/manual equipment, lathes, grinders, mill, drills, special purpose machines and computer numerically controlled machines to machine Mechanical Seal parts, Bearing Isolators and other products to specification.
  2. Performs difficult machining operations requiring complicated setups with a high degree of accuracy- works from blueprints, sketches, process diagrams.
  3. Performs in-process and final component inspections as required per order and/or work instructions. Inspections may be visual, functional and/or dimensional. Instruments to include, but not limited to: micrometers, surface indicating equipment and optical flats.
  4. Duties include the planning, and layout of work; setting up and operating the machine tools: using advanced shop math relating to the dimensions of work, speeds, and feeds of machining; making necessary adjustments during operation to achieve requisite tolerances
  5. Reports malfunctions of CNC equipment to appropriate personnel.
  6. Performs duties of Machine Center – Machinist “A”, as well as mentors lower level classifications.
  7.  Material handling as required. May require use of lift truck.
  Must be proficient in programming, set up and operation of all manual and CNC equipment.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Has knowledge of the machining characteristics of various metals, carbides and synthetic materials as well as a working knowledge of proper coolants, and cutting and lubricating oils.

  Formal machine shop training and/or equivalent of 4 years experience in Machining. 

  To qualify as a CNC Programmer/Machinist, employee must be proficient in programming, set up and operation of all manual and CNC equipment.

   Must pass written exam and in-house performance test or equivalent testing requirement

Enpro carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors including the background, education, training, and experience required, as well as geographic considerations such as cost of labor, and applicable local and state laws. These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is typically $34.33 - $36.20 hourly. Actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
