Job Summary:
The Reliability and Maintenance Lead will help develop and manage a program to identify asset reliability risks and manage asset failure prevention. Additionally, this role will mentor and train maintenance technicians and production operators to provide increased equipment effectiveness and to ensure program sustainability.
Essential Functions:
Provide direction in technical matters to maintenance technicians, machine operators and supervisory personnel
Troubleshoot operation and equipment to maximize asset reliability and efficiency
Conduct Failure Analysis on critical assets and equipment to eliminate root cause(s) of failure and develop improvements to prevent future occurrences of fixed machinery (hydraulic presses, lathes, pneumatic winding machines, fiber laser machines, etc.) utilized to make our products.
Partner with operations and other internal customers to ensure equipment repairs are completed and communicated in a timely and effective manner.
Review current maintenance policies and procedures to optimize maintenance program effectiveness; develop improvements to decrease asset downtime
Ensure Technicians have proper training, equipment, and management support to accomplish maintenance tasks safely, effectively, and on time
Create, optimize, and validate asset PM’s and PM frequencies
Review and develop spare part requirements and ensure proper stock levels of critical equipment
Manage Computerized Maintenance Management System to optimize maintenance program effectiveness
Support maintenance of building systems such as power, compressed air, HVAC, pumps, plumbing, etc.
Abide by company and worksite safety policies to achieve a “Safety First” workplace
Ensure compliance to safety regulations (OSHA, ADA, etc.) and company policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety procedures.
Leading and participating in training programs to stay current with maintenance and equipment advancements.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in the following areas: Hydraulic/Pneumatic, Motion/Motor Control, Electrical Systems, Industrial Automation, Welding and Machining.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in different settings such as one-on-one, small, or large groups.
Demonstrated success in managing multiple stakeholders when problem-solving in cross-functional teams.
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and CMMS Software.
Experience within industrial processing (i.e., PLC programming, Sensors, AutoCAD, Artificial Intelligence, etc.).
Knowledge or experience with Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, TPM, FMEA, and Visual Management).
Availability to work any shift including overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns.
Physical Requirements:
MAXIMUM WEIGHT TO BE LIFTED: 35 lbs. (anything over 35 lbs. requires two people or mechanical lifting device)
REPETITIVE MOTION TASKS: Twisting, turning. Physically handles drums, barrels, office-related furniture, and equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS: noise, dust, dirt, vibration, occasional heat, fumes, carbon black, oils, grease, occasional cold during winter months.
