POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for ensuring that the production process is run in a smooth and rapid manner, perform all plating, anodizing and chemical cleaning activity per work instruction and process job travelers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Process parts in tanks according to specifications, work order and other requirements
  • Calculates the appropriate amount of time needed to process parts
  • Removes parts from tank after specified time, rinses parts and immerse them in bath before finishing processing
  • Completes paperwork as required by company and processing guidelines
  • Assist all line activities to Line Operator -2 to optimize throughput
  • Record results on work order (dimensions, tank #, temperature, & volts, Time in /out of tank)
  • Evaluate and log all preventative maintenance on processing line
  • Ensure all hazardous waste material is disposed of correctly
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Use required safety equipment (eye/ear protection, gloves, back brace when applicable)
  • Shall adhere to all Safety & Environmental requirements
  • Take daily direction from Supervisor & Line Operator-2 & follow all management assignments & instructions

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 Ability to read write and communicate effectively.

Experience Required:           

Previous Experience with Chemical Processing preferred.

 

Skills/Abilities: Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization and supervision. Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and common factors.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION

Physical Strength: The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 lbs by oneself and above 35 lbs must be able to use a lifting device
