The Engineering Intern works in conjunction with the Engineering Manager, Senior and Junior level Engineers. The Engineering Intern position will cover a wide range of job duties including designer, product/process/quality engineering, test technician, programming test and production equipment and perform a variety of assigned tasks.  The specific job duties will be covered with the candidate during the interview process.  This position may begin as an entry level position and may also extend into more advanced work depending on the development of the intern and the duration of employment.

  • Technical: Learn the systems, products and processes and be able to execute projects assigned.   
  • Quality: Develop or improve designs and processes that will meet Stemco’s Quality standards  
  • Team Work: Lead/Participate in cross functional teams to implement new products, new processes or continuously improve both products and processes.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Currently enrolled in a technical degree program at a university/college in Freshman or higher level coursework. Focus in Mechanical Engineering, Controls/Automation Engineering, and/or Industrial Technology/Engineering preferred.
  • Microsoft Office products Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
  • Self-driven; self-motivated; self-learner; positive attitude; willing to go above and beyond when needed; proactive
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with associates at all levels of the organization and customers.
