JOB SUMMARY:
The Production Technician III – highly skilled individual contributor responsible for executing specialized manufacturing processes with a focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This role requires advanced knowledge of production equipment and techniques, including forming, cutting, welding, heat treating, drilling, deburring, packaging, and visual inspection of rings. The technician serves as a subject matter expert in their area, leading complex setups, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing processes. They work independently within their area of expertise while collaborating with supervisors and engineers to drive improvements. The role also includes mentoring less experienced colleagues and maintaining a safe, organized work environment in alignment with 5S and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Serves as subject matter expert in a specific production area (nuclear).
• Operates, controls, and monitors production equipment.
• Performs specialized ring-related operations including forming, cutting, drilling, deburring, and packaging.
• Executes welding tasks and conducts heat treatment of welds in accordance with process specifications
• Leads complex setups and adjustments, optimizing production processes.
• Troubleshoots advanced production issues and provides solutions, partnering with Product Line Leader, Engineering, Quality, and/or Maintenance.
• Develops and updates work instructions. Maintains accurate records of production as required per specification and qualification.
• Monitors production quality and ensures compliance with standards.
• Conducts thorough visual inspectiosn to ensure
• Mentors and trains less experienced colleagues.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S standards
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Actively participates in Safety Committee and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Performs any other assigned duty as directed by management.
Minimum Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• A minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience.
• Advanced knowledge of production machinery and specialized processes.
• Proficient in using precision measuring instruments and quality control tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills (preferred).
• Demonstrates great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrates a professional and positive attitude as well as a passion for continuous improvement.
