We are seeking a Production Technician for our DeLand Facility!

JOB SUMMARY:

The Production Technician I is an entry level role which operates manufacturing equipment, assembles and measures products, and adheres to all factory safety guidelines and standards.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Starts assembly and production machinery at beginning of shift.
  • Uses manual measuring tools (micrometers, dial calipers, etc.) to ensure products meet manufacturing specifications.
  • Prepares and assembles materials.
  • Makes sure that workstation is clean and free of FOD.
  • Addresses problems with production equipment and machinery and fixes them as needed.
  • Operates various manufacturing equipment, such as a band saw, router table, drill press, wire winder, spot welding, and/or abrasive saw machines.
  • Adheres to all safety guidelines.
  • Ensures that all production deadlines are met.
  • Reports issues or problems with production to immediate supervisor.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma/GED or Vocational School equivalent
  •  Understands basic safety standards and policies
  • 1+ year of experience in manufacturing preferred
  • Basic tool and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to follow verbal and detailed written instructions

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to regularly communicate. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle material, as well as reach with hands and arms (including overhead). The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
