Senior Operations Supervisor – Lead with Purpose in Advanced Manufacturing
As a Senior Operations Supervisor at Technetics Group, you will lead multiple product lines and cross-shift teams in a dynamic, high-performance manufacturing environment. This high-impact leadership role includes ownership of key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, HR, and other departments to drive operational excellence, safety, and respect across your areas of responsibility. You’ll coach, develop, and mentor operators, Team Leads, and Supervisors while ensuring alignment with organizational policies and customer requirements.

Essential Functions:

•Monitor and manage labor utilization, scrap rates, production schedules, attendance, and overtime to meet performance goals.
•Identify and champion opportunities for equipment upgrades, automation, and process improvements using the Capital Expenditure Process and cross-functional collaboration.
•Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives from concept to completion, engaging team members at all levels.
•Provide clear, constructive feedback and recognition to individuals and teams, both publicly and privately.
•Ensure financial accountability for assigned product lines and special process areas.
•Mentor and develop Team Leads and Supervisors, fostering a culture of growth, succession planning, and adherence to company policies, while providing technical direction on more complex issues.
•Promote a problem-solving mindset by involving team members in decisions that impact their work and encouraging them to challenge the status quo.
•Facilitate cross-shift communication and consistency in operational practices.
•Provide coverage and support across shifts as needed, including shift handoffs and regular engagement with both day and night teams.
•Lead departmental R.O.P.E. activities focused on safety, cost savings, and quality improvements.
•Support the Production Manager and Plant Manager with operational and administrative tasks as assigned.
•Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost. Use data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
•Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, and other departments to align operational goals, resolve issues, and implement process improvements that support broader business objectives.
Job Competencies & Qualifications
Required Qualifications
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Minimum of 3–7 years of front-line supervisory experience.
•At least 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
•Demonstrated ability to lead teams using servant leadership principles.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coach and mentor across multiple shifts.
•Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
•Ability to interpret and use data for decision-making and performance management.
•Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field.
•Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
•Familiarity with ERP systems and production scheduling tools.
•Exposure to capital project management and equipment automation initiatives.
