POSITION SUMMARY
- Responsible for all aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS), including but not limited to identifying and implementing improvements and maintenance of the system to ensure compliance with ISO and customer quality requirements.

- Requires strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, multi-tasking, and collaboration skills.
- Develops and evolves world-class systems to measure, record, and report product quality data, and performance metrics to achieve manufacturing excellence.
- This position will involve hands-on work with exciting technology and data analytics including but not limited to, metrology, disposition, microscopy, surface quality, and product design.
- Under minimal supervision, collaborates across departments; provides leadership/guidance to operation departments; adheres, supports, and enforces Company policies & procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Systems
- Work to continuously improve and drive consistency within existing processes, procedures, and operations
- Executes, maintains, and enhances manufacturing systems utilizing knowledge of quality control methods, metrology
- instrumentation, data analysis, continuous improvement, and systems engineering
- Ability to create and maintain required PPAPs, FMEAs, Process Maps, Gage R&Rs, SOPs, and other required
- documentation
- Responsible for precision instrument management in compliance with applicable quality management standards
- (e.g., AS9100, ISO9001, etc.); RMA & customer data management
- Responsible for value-stream processes including the setup of test & measurement methods, tools, problem-solving,
- OCAPs, MOCs, safety, and continuous improvement activities
- Drives safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance through the application of continuous improvement tools and methodologies; including the cost of poor quality and non-conformances
- Collaborates daily with members of operations & manufacturing, engineering, planning, and supply chain; as needed with the sales and marketing team
- Leads internal and external quality related audits; attends customer & engineering meetings as required
- Ability to influence, persuade, convince, compromise, build consensus, and resolve conflict
- Interface effectively with external customers, EnPro corporate quality, and vendors
Material & Supply-Chain Quality Control
- Responsible for incoming raw material quality assurance, first article inspections, raw material qualifications
- In collaboration with engineering & sales, provides supplier quality management guidance, supports raw material product data & specification record maintenance
- In collaboration with Supply Chain and EnPro corporate maintain regulatory, and customer required surveys and data requests
Other Responsibilities
- Effectively & efficiently leads and manages multiple projects simultaneously
- Obtain required certifications, licenses, and qualifications as identified by the Company
- Provides feedback and/or participates in performance evaluations in partnership with management; provides positive reinforcement and constructive feedback
- Adhere to Company quality policy, environmental policy, sustainability policy, and safety programs
- Role may have direct reports; performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/management
- Must maintain satisfactory attendance, including timeliness
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline; mechanical, electrical, physics, engineering preferred OR high school diploma or equivalent PLUS 7 years experience in thin film coating OR high school diploma or equivalent PLUS 10 years manufacturing leading continuous improvement teams, ISO audits, program development, and training development and execution
- Experienced with quality tools and lab equipment such as, but not limited to, spectrophotometers, precision scales, etc.
- Strong knowledge & experience with 6 Sigma principles such as Lean, SPC, 6s, DFM, FMEA, 5S, 8D, QMS, NPI, etc.
- Previous experience with data analysis, statistics, and experimental design, along with the creation and execution of test plans, methods, and technical reporting
- Strong computer software skills including, but not limited to, MS Office suite, and data analysis and CAD software
- Self-starter/works well alone and with limited supervision
- Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills
- Can multitask and work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- U.S. Person per EAR Part 772 AND ITAR 120.15
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to define and implement strategic initiatives designed to drive long-term quality improvements
- 5 years of experience supervising and developing others; leading by example, and servant leadership
- Experience developing Standard Operating Procedures, Job Safety/Hazard Analysis, and Work Instructions
- ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, AS9100 lead auditor certification
- Six Sigma certified as Lean Practitioner or higher, certified Project Manager (PMP)
- Experience with thin-film, high-vacuum processes design, and development of hardware systems and tools
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work within a manufacturing and office environment
- Will sit 20%-90% of time / stand 10%-80% of time depending on job assignment
- Be able to use hands to handle delicate products and small objects in addition to tools, equipment, or controls
- Be able to reach overhead and work on a ladder/elevated heights
- Be able to work in various positions, including but not limited to, reaching, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods
- Clarity of vision to see close and mid-range; be able to use a microscope for extended periods
- Be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
- Use of solvents and cleaning substances, lasers, sharp objects, & high heat equipment
- Temperature is moderate within the work environment
- The noise level in the manufacturing environment is moderate but occasionally can be loud

Alluxa carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors including the background, education, training, and experience required, as well as geographic considerations such as cost of labor, and applicable local and state laws. These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is typically $102,500 - $153,500 annually. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Bonus, gainshare, and/or equity may be eligible for this position.
