GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Under direction and guidance of the General Manager – Solutions Delivery, maintain existing and identify and develop new business in meeting and exceeding sales budgets. Introduce new products, target markets or customer groups as identified by the business within designated region and work with the rest of the team to develop long term, profitable relationships for the business.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage time and workload to maximise time in front of customers. Target 80% in customer facing time.

2. Plans time and activities to develop distributor staff and grow sales of common or consumable lines through its distributors.

3. Works with Sales and Marketing teams to deliver agreed program into the market and feedback relevant data and market information.

4. Presents company’s products and services and identifies market opportunities within target markets and specific customer operations.

5. Designs, suggests and proposes value solutions to customers, drawing from company’s product range.

6. Develops rapport with major end-users within the territory as well as distributors.

7. Works consistently and constantly toward new business opportunities. Canvases users in target and associated markets for opportunities.

8. Focus on building customer base and developing opportunities to deliver product into niche markets.

9. Utilise all tools provided by company to facilitate maximum return for company investment.

10.Reports as required and works to plan generated in conjunction with sales manager.

11.Works within company policies and as directed by manager.

12.Works within company’s Quality Assurance program.

13.Maintains and utilises Company’s CRM to record and plan for the designated territory.

 

STATUS AND SCOPE:

Reports to relevant Sales Manager. Organises time and works agreed program to best achieve goals.

 

NORMAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum school certificate with demonstrated mathematical and English skills appropriate to the position. Trade or tertiary qualifications in appropriate discipline highly desirable. Demonstrated ability in basic PC skills including Microsoft Office and CRM management.

 

EXPERIENCE:

Ideally, three – five years’ experience in an outside industrial selling environment working with minimal supervision and to a budget. Experience in wholesale distribution / development highly desirable.
