In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring products, processes, and systems meet the highest quality standards while supporting the company's commitment to Safety, Excellence, and Respect.

The Quality Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving quality management systems, supporting manufacturing operations, and driving corrective and preventive actions that enhance product quality and customer satisfaction. This position works cross-functionally with production and operations teams to improve processes, resolve quality issues, and ensure compliance with industry and customer requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain and continuously improve quality management systems in alignment with ISO 9001 and customer
    specific requirements
  • Develop, revise, and implement quality procedures, work instructions and control plans
  • Partner with production teams to lead quality improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
  • Investigate customer quality concerns and provide timely, data-driven responses and resolutions
  • Lead or support FMEA, SPC, and other quality engineering methodologies
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure completion of effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Conduct quality training and maintain required quality system records
  • Maintaining calibration records, production SOPs, travelers, PORs, and controlled quality documentation
  • Track and analyze quality metrics including QPPM, OTD, RMA logs, customer complaint logs, scrap yield, and SPC as required
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventative action (CAPA)
  • Ensure corrective actions are implemented and effective
  • Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and products to verify conformance to specifications
  • Collaborate with operations leadership to develop controls, improve workflows, and ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements
  • Troubleshoot production and product issues while reviewing engineering specifications, drawings, and manufacturing processes

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, semiconductor, aerospace, or precision machining
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies including RCA, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, and MSA
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
  • Proficiency with data analysis techniques and quality software tools
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 35 pounds and wear required personal protective equipment
  • Flexibility to train and work in other functional areas as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certification
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certification
  • Additional experience supporting ISO-based quality systems and customer audits
