We are seeking a driven, hands-on Product Development Technician to join our ever-growing company and team.

Role and Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):

  • Satisfactorily Perform Tasks from Verbal, Written or Work Orders as assigned by Manager.
  • Collaborate with R&D Team members to accurately machine, assemble, and fabricate critical components (Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Electrical) for newly designed systems.
  • Perform DOE tests and other testing as defined by the development team.
  • Design, fabricate, and machine fixtures, Jigs, Tooling as needed for new processes.
  • Generate and Document Setup Sheets and Machining processes per AceCo Standards.
  • Build, Monitor and maintain new development equipment.
  • Collect analytical data from machinery for collection & diagnostics
  • Assist with setup and installation of new machines and equipment
  • Electrical Installations, Diagnostics, Service, Repair of all Related Equipment
  • Use of Schematics, Line Diagrams, in house & OEM hardware & Software to Maintain, Diagnose, and Service new equipment as needed
  • Use Engineered drawings & prints, with work instructions to perform tasks
  • Assemble and duplicate low voltage wiring PLC control systems
  • Diagnostics & Trouble Shooting of all types of Equipment
  • Performs preventive maintenance procedures on a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical equipment and production systems.
  • Identify faults on new equipment and acquire parts and equipment to complete repairs.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls.
  • Ability to use electrical/electronic diagnostic equipment such as multi-meters, infrared scanning equipment and other tools as necessary for servicing applicable equipment.
  • Work with contractors and other maintenance personnel, if necessary, to ensure repairs are made properly and with minimum impact on operations.
  • Communicating accurately, concisely, and professionally with team as to important steps taken, parts ordered, and time estimated until completion.
  • Order requests for replacement components and parts as needed.
  • Tracks and logs repair work and completed work orders.
  • Cleans and maintains work areas and shop equipment.
  • Adhere to Lockout/Tagout and PPE requirements.
  • Ability to read part manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions, technical documents, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Work with sense of urgency to meet development goals and timelines.
  • Knowledge of CNC machine design and operation.
  • Knowledge of and experience with electrical test equipment, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
  • Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Reading, writing and general math skills.
  • Ability to multitask job duties effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends as needed.

Preferred Skills

  • CNC Machinist/Programmer
  • Solidworks and CAM Experience
  • Welding and Fabrication Experience
  • Low voltage wiring Experience
  • Maintenance / Repair/ Diagnostics
  • Capable of proper use of Trade related Inspection, Hand & Power tools
  • Proper utilization of Equipment Manuals to perform assigned task to designated standards
  • General programming & G codes
  • OEM Specific Training on equipment as needed

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 35 pounds by self in safe manner
  • Ability to use lifting assist
  • Ability to work in tight spaces
  • Ability to work at heights without issue
  • Lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, twisting, stooping, etc
