Job Summary:
The Chemical Technician is responsible for handling chemicals, solutions, and chemical waste safely, performing cleaning operations on critical parts, maintaining production records, taking measurements for critical dimensions, and working in a cleanroom environment. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to ISO 9001:2015 standards, and collaboration within a team to meet customer delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
Handles chemicals, solutions, and chemical waste in a safe and appropriate manner
Performs cleaning operations on critical parts
Follows production processes in a consistent and exacting manner
Maintains production records on all parts processed through each station
Takes measurements for critical dimensions
Works in cleanroom environment for specialty processes
Works within a team to achieve customer driven delivery schedules
Develops SOPs as needed
Assures process adheres to ISO 9001:2015 standards
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Certificate or associate’s degree in chemical technology or a related field like chemical process engineering
Some laboratory experience or equivalent experience working with chemicals is a plus
Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, handle delicate parts and equipment, and work with hazardous materials
Comfortable using computers for various workflows
Job Condition Requirements:
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle and feel; talk or hear and smell. The employee is required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds on a repetitive basis. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus, especially during inspection operations.
Work Environment: The employee is working in an environment with toxic, corrosive, and caustic chemicals. Use of Personal Protective Equipment is required. The employee may also work in a cleanroom environment which requires special gowning protocols and has a higher background noise level.
