Job Summary & Job Duties

This position is responsible for administering multiple Environment Health & Safety (EHS) programs at the corporate staff level to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards. Records management, data management, data analysis, and statistical reporting are critical responsibilities.
Salary Range ; 120K - 140K

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree is preferred. Specialization in Occupational Safety and Health, or Environmental Health, Environmental Sciences; is preferred
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing and implementing EHS programs (with strong emphasis on Safety/Cal OSHA)
· Knowledge and understanding of workplace safety and health programs.
· Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills required.
· Manufacturing environment experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Maintains corporate occupational injury/illness records and makes determination of OSHA recordability for 500+ employee workplace establishments.
· Ensures that specific projects assigned are completed as planned to meet EH&S goals. Provides management with updates and escalation on projects/programs. Maintain communication channel with site/location functions.
· Maintains Claims Management database with Accident Investigation module to produce annual OSHA 300A summary reports. Investigate accidents that occur onsite and identify possible causes of the accident. Investigate accidents that occur onsite and identify possible causes of the accident.
· Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace.
· Conduct safety training for employees; facilitate in the risk assessment activities to ensure that it aligns with the global requirements/regulations and local legal requirement/regulations.

· Collaborate with NxEdge team at all levels to monitor compliance and identify safety issues.
Ensures that sites are proactive in identifying, maintaining, and complying with applicable county, federal, state and local regulatory requirements).
· Help create and implement safety plans while ensuring that they are being followed daily.
· Conduct safety observations, audits, and inspections on a regular basis.
· Educate employees on safety standards and expectations as well as safe machinery operation.
• Requires traveling in between sites for training, inspections.
• Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, and chemicals, with protective equipment provided as needed.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Regular walking, bending, and moving about the facility to supervise work conditions and interact with staff.
• Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 35 pounds.
• Must be able to wear the necessary PPE (safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, etc.)
