Job Summary: The Maintenance Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment. This role ensures that all necessary materials are available for maintenance operations, tracks inventory levels, maintains accurate records, and re-orders stock inventory items.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Receiving and Distribution: Oversee the receiving, storing, and distribution of maintenance materials.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software.
• Audits: Conduct regular physical inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
• Forecasting: Coordinate with the team for future inventory needs, stage PM parts kits, and re-order low stock items.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
• Control: Develop protocols to mitigate inventory variance, and to secure critical parts/tools.
• Organize: Deploy signage, labels, color codes, and cabinets/racking to define inventory storage locations.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in inventory management or related fields are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a maintenance environment.
• Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to reach, lift, and move items and boxes, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks related to inventory management.
