Job Summary:

The Assembler – is responsible for assembling metal gasket components and subassemblies according to engineering specifications, ensuring product quality, accuracy, and on-time production. This role involves working with precision parts, tools, and equipment in a manufacturing environment.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to assemble metal gasket products.
  • Assemble metal gasket components using hand tools, fixtures, presses, or other production equipment.
  • Align, fit, and secure parts to specifications ensuring proper sealing and structural integrity.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
  • Measure components using gauges, calipers, or other precision tools.
  • Perform quality checks throughout the assembly process and report defects or inconsistencies.
  • Prepare work by gathering materials, parts, tools, and documentation required for production.
  • Maintain equipment by performing basic preventive maintenance and reporting malfunctions.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Complete production records, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
  • Support inventory control by tracking materials and reporting shortages.
  • Assist in troubleshooting assembly issues and recommending process improvements.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to interpret and comprehend blueprints and drawings.
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred (metal or industrial products a plus).

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift material up to 35 pounds as needed.
  • Frequent use of hands for handling tools and small components.
