JOB SUMMARY:

The Applications Engineer will guide customers along their buying journey by understanding their needs and matching those to our capabilities. They provide specialized technical services to varied audiences for the solution of design and application problems. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Provide guidance and technical information to end users, distributors, and sales personnel
• Develop content such as case studies, articles, and cost savings documentation to show the overall value of Garlock products 
• Provide product training to internal and external teams as needed
• Understand the competitive landscape by being aware of new product developments, applications, and markets
• Analyze field samples to identify the root cause of field failures and understand pervasive market problems 
• Translate market insights to enhance both the commercial pipeline of new products and marketing campaigns for existing products
• Develop and deploy buyer enablement tools to help customers select our products
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality and Supply Chain on Critical-To-Quality (CTQ) attributes based on market insights
• Understand and actively participate in our digital strategy through the development of technical information on the Garlock website. 
• Primarily support the Klozure product line and can back up and support other product lines as needed.
• Work with our engineering team to develop and execute new product enhancements and competitive testing.
• Proactively specify target products within sales campaigns to increase our brand awareness and specification in the market.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS degree in Engineering technology, or AAS with 3+ years of applications related experience or equivalent experience/knowledge. 
• Computer Skills: Excel required; CAD experience preferred.
• Organizational and communication Skills
• Experience in applications engineering and engineering procedures is a plus. 
• Presentation skills are a plus

Enpro carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors including the background, education, training, and experience required, as well as geographic considerations such as cost of labor, and applicable local and state laws. These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is typically $76,000-100,000 annually. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Bonus, gainshare, and/or equity may be eligible for this position. Enpro offers a range of benefits including, but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) matching, and other supplemental insurance options.
