As a member of the Total Rewards team, the Benefits Manager will support the programs and processes that help attract, motivate, and retain top talent employees.  The Benefits Manager is responsible for the U.S. benefits administration, data analysis, and day-to-day support of the benefits and well-being offerings to our employees. Using a shared service delivery model, the Total Rewards group provides outstanding service to the employees of Enpro and the business units they support, with a focus on ensuring employees receive benefits they value and understand.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote the Enpro culture around creating value and driving excellence in our organization by: 
    • U.S. Program Administration: Own the daily operations of U.S. benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, life and AD&D, short- and long-term disability, 401(k), wellness, and voluntary benefits.  Ensure timely and accurate payment of all vendors; as required.  
    • Leave Management: Administer U.S. leave programs end-to-end, including FMLA, state paid family/medical leave, parental leave, PTO, short- and long-term disability, workers’ compensation, and ADA accommodations.
    • Compliance & Audit: Ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, Section 125, and IRS/DOL requirements. Lead 5500 filings, non-discrimination testing, SAR distribution, and audits.
    • Open Enrollment: Lead the annual U.S. open enrollment cycle, including HRIS configuration and testing, communications, employee education sessions, and post-enrollment auditing.
    • Employee Experience: Be the trusted go-to resource for HR Business Partners, managers, and employees on benefit related topics.  Orient, train and develop new hires, HRBP, managers, etc.  Create clear presentations and communication material that allows participants to understand benefits with confidence.
    • Process & Systems: Identify and implement improvements in UKG and with vendor partners to automate enrollments, EOI workflows, evidence-of-coverage tracking, and reporting. In conjunction with weekly and biweekly payroll processing, complete HSA/FSA contribution files.
    • Escalated Support: Serve as a key contact of escalation for complex U.S. employee benefits issues; coordinate with local HR Business Partner, carriers and brokers to drive resolution.

 QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Benefits Administration, or relevant field required
  • BS/BA in Business, Human Resources or relevant experience required
  • Advanced Excel, HRIS, or other system analytics and reporting skills; UKG and Bswift preferred
  • Experience working with self-funded and fully insured benefit plans
  • Strong understanding of Human Resource concepts, practices, and procedures in a corporate environment
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Sense of curiosity and a willingness to learn and try new things
  • Ability to work both in a team-oriented environment and independently
  • Ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive, and energy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Ability to explain complex concepts to employees and senior stakeholders with empathy, clarity and discretion.
  • Desire to grow into a leadership role within the team
