The Forklift Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the manufacturing facility. This role requires advanced forklift operating skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to accurately complete ERP system transactions to ensure proper tracking and accountability of all materials.

Accuracy is critical in this role. The Forklift Driver is responsible for ensuring that all product movements—whether receiving, relocating, or shipping—are properly recorded in the system to maintain inventory integrity and traceability.

What You’ll Do:

  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport raw materials, finished goods, and work-in-progress throughout the facility
  • Accurately perform ERP transactions (e.g., receipts, transfers, relocations, and shipments) to reflect real-time product movement and inventory status
  • Ensure all material movements are properly tracked and recorded to maintain inventory accuracy and product traceability
  • Load and unload trucks while verifying product quantity, condition, and documentation
  • Move materials to designated storage or production areas in alignment with production schedules and priorities
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any safety or maintenance concerns
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including proper forklift operation, pedestrian awareness, and use of PPE
  • Maintain organized inventory locations and support 5S and visual management standards
  • Collaborate with production, shipping, and inventory teams to ensure smooth material flow
  • Support cycle counts and inventory audits as needed

What You’ll Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2+ years of forklift operating experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Experience using ERP systems or inventory management systems for material tracking and transactions
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and inventory handling
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification upon hire)
  • Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, or warehouse operations
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement practices

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment
  • Frequent movement throughout the facility
  • Ability to lift, move, or position materials as required
  • Visual acuity to safely operate equipment and verify product accuracy
