Job Summary & Job Duties

The inside technical sales personnel are the primary AMI contact for customers and sales representatives to work with for new orders, product selection for applications, orders status, RMAs and technical support. This function primarily involves work on a phone and on a computer as well as interfacing with AMI employees for specific order specific details.

Incoming Order Management
• Manage and process incoming opportunities and orders from direct customers and distribution partners via phone and electronic channels.
• Qualify new opportunities and drive continued sales by recommending the best product for the customer’s application, suggesting related products, and explaining technical features.
• Follow-up on outstanding quotes with customers
• Answer common technical questions for customers and as needed involves AMI’s technical support team.
• Maintain customer information in AMI ERP systems.
• Maintain lead and opportunity data within CRM system.
• Work with operations for defining proper ship dates for customers as well as any special considerations needed for urgent shipments.

Sales Development
• Utilizes various data sources including incoming leads, existing customers sales, and general market information to identify target accounts for potential growth of AMI sales.
• Within sales and market data identify trends, themes or develop hypothesis of areas that have the potential for new AMI sales and further refine information into accounts to target.
• Develop target accounts through performing outreach and building new connections with key personnel with the goal of educating target accounts on the value AMI can provide.
• Maintain an active list of most promising target accounts being pursued and replenish the list as targets are either converted to customers or become disqualified opportunities.
• Manage sales interaction for all assigned direct industrial customers.
• Work with marketing to define and execute outreach, awareness and targeted marketing campaigns as well as any needed sales tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ Years of experience in business-to-business sales of technical products
• Experience developing new accounts and nurturing them into repeat customers.
• Be naturally inquisitive about understanding a customer’s technical and commercial needs and able to use this knowledge to develop a sales strategy
• Willingness and desire to take ownership for strategies associated with maintaining and expanding sales with direct customers.
• Extremely comfortable explaining technical concepts to customers.
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong listening & presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal phone presence & positive attitude
• Ability to travel infrequently
• Proficient in Microsoft office products for preparation of documents, review of data and tracking of sales, quote, and RMA activities.

Enpro carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors including the background, education, training, and experience required, as well as geographic considerations such as cost of labor, and applicable local and state laws. These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is typically $76,314.79 - $114,472.19 annualyy. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Bonus, gainshare, and/or equity may be eligible for this position. Enpro offers a range of benefits including, but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) matching, and other supplemental insurance options.​
