The Morgan Hill Operations Manager will manage, supervise, and train staff to meet agreed production schedules and quality plans for precision machined and surface treated products in order to achieve financial objectives.
Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel including ensuring that all federal, state, and local requirements for industrial hygiene and safety are fulfilled. Serve as focal point for communication across departments and customers on product status, progress, challenges, and proposed solutions. Work with Senior Management in the establishment of forecasts, strategic positions and plans for markets, regions, specific customers and products. Manage all aspects of P&L for maximum efficiencies and performance. Support recruiting and talent management efforts to support key, critical roles, and functions. Support the Sales team with active participation in customer meetings as required. Assist in the preparation of proposals, and original and renewal bids for precision machined and surface treated products and/or refurbishment services. Support continuous improvement projects across the site and organization and develop best practices. Conduct performance management and development of staff in accordance with California laws. Supervise 6 subordinate employees (Production Supervisors, Quality Supervisor, Engineering Manager, Facilities Manager, EH&S Specialist).
Work M – F, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, and weekends as necessary to meet customer requirements. Salary: $188,614.00/year.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or foreign equivalent. Requires four (4) years of manufacturing engineering experience to include four (4) years: experience in the semiconductor industry; Epicor software; Lean Manufacturing; managing direct reports; researching, compiling, analyzing and interpreting data; leading audits for ISO9001 compliance; three (3) years: Solid Works or similar software. Requires 5% domestic travel for training, cross-site collaborations, customer visits. All hires must submit to a drug screen and background check.
