Job Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for accurately picking, packing, and putting away parts while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. This role supports daily warehouse and production operations by ensuring materials are handled correctly, stored in designated locations, and moved throughout the facility in safe manner. The Material Handler plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting material flow, and preventing damage or loss through proper handling and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Essential Functions:

• Pick parts and materials accurately from designated storage locations using pick lists, work orders, or system-generated requests to support production, shipping, or internal transfers.
• Pack parts securely and correctly using appropriate packaging materials and methods to prevent damage, maintain part integrity, and meet handling or storage requirements.
• Put away materials in assigned locations following established bin locations, storage guidelines, and FIFO or traceability requirements to maintain inventory accuracy and organization.
• Prepare shipments for outbound delivery, including labeling, weighing, staging, and verifying shipment accuracy prior to carrier pickup.
• Support inventory control activities, including cycle counts, discrepancy investigations, and maintaining accurate bin locations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, supporting efficient material flow and compliance with housekeeping and safety standards.
• Operate material handling equipment safely, such as pallet jacks or forklifts, and follow all safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two years of experience in a warehouse setting preferred.
• Experience operating material‑handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks); forklift certification preferred but not required. 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read, analyze, and follow written instructions.
• Comfortable handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials as required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift material up to 35 pounds as needed.
• Ability to work in warehouse conditions subject to seasonal temperature variations.
