Position Summary

The Quality Engineer plays a key role in ensuring NxEdge’s products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and compliance. This role partners closely with manufacturing, engineering, and customer teams to implement quality systems, resolve issues, and support ongoing process improvements across our Boise operations.

 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Systems & Compliance
  • Maintain and improve quality management systems in alignment with ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements.
  • Develop, revise, and implement quality procedures, work instructions, and control plans.
  • Support internal and external audits, including corrective action follow‑up.
  • Manufacturing & Process Support
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to qualify new processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyze quality data, trends, and metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare reports on nonconformance, scrap, rework, and process capability.
  • Support FMEA, SPC, and other quality engineering methodologies.

 

Customer & Supplier Interface

  • Aid in submittal and automation of customer data requirements.
  • Address customer quality concerns and provide timely, data‑driven responses.
  • Support supplier qualification, audits, and incoming inspection processes.
  • Ensure customer specifications and expectations are clearly communicated internally.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support Lean, Six Sigma, and process‑optimization initiatives.
  • Drive improvements in yield, reliability, and overall product quality.
  • Champion a culture of quality across the Boise facility.

 

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment—semiconductor, aerospace, or precision machining preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality tools (RCA, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and quality software tools.

Preferred

  • Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor component manufacturing or surface treatment processes.
  • Strong communication skills for cross‑functional and customer interactions.
