As the Business Development Manager, you will spearhead sales, marketing, strategy, and business development efforts for a key Semiconductor OEM, focusing on aftermarket and end-user excellence. You’ll be at the forefront of forging deep customer relationships, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and acting as a strategic partner to deliver exceptional results.

Your mission includes collaborating with our cutting-edge Innovation team to introduce groundbreaking products, capabilities, and services that redefine industry standards. This pivotal role supports the products and capabilities of Enpro’s Advanced Surface Technologies (AST) segment, encompassing Technetics Semi, NxEdge, LeanTeq, and Alluxa—leading brands in precision and excellence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities while cultivating strong, multi-level relationships across customer organizations to drive loyalty to AST’s Semiconductor business.
  • Drive account revenue growth, meeting and exceeding aggressive targets.
  • Oversee all sales activity within assigned accounts for AST’s product portfolio, with an emphasis on innovative solutions and consistent customer engagement, including regular site visits and communication.
  • Assume responsibility for the customer business unit, collaborating within a team focused on new business development, existing business retention, and regional capability expansion.
  • Prepare and deliver customer presentations, such as Quarterly Business Reviews, and manage customer-facing documentation, including capacity plans, inventory reports, and sales tracking.
  • Develop comprehensive business plans to substantiate ROI for potential new development initiatives.
  • Manage long-cycle projects, ensuring milestone achievement and account satisfaction.
  • Serve as the link between customers and internal teams, identifying opportunities and advocating for customer needs.
  • Foster synergies across Advanced Surface Technologies businesses to maximize collaboration and impact.
  • Collaborate with site resources to proactively address and resolve issues at the operational level.
  • Communicate confidently with executive-level management and engineering contacts within customer organizations.
  • Monitor customer strategies, market trends, and competition to inform business decisions.
  • Support broader business objectives through additional responsibilities as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven expertise in aftermarket operations, including the negotiation and management of spares and service agreements.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of sales experience, with a focus and understanding of the Semiconductor market segment; familiarity with major Semiconductor OEMs, Fabs, or Foundries is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with proven ability to clearly articulate ideas and solutions.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with advanced planning and coordination capabilities.
  • Motivated self-starter who takes initiative, identifies challenges, and drives effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, with a solid understanding of their functionalities.
  • ~30% travel within the U.S. with occasional international travel
