Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant reports to the Senior Accounting Manager and supports the Garlock Palmyra finance team in preparing and booking journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, and reporting monthly financial results, plus other accounting tasks as assigned.

  Essential Position Functions:

  • Assist and support Garlock with month end reporting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and intra/intercompany accounts, reporting, and other areas, as assigned
  • Lead and coordinate the internal and external audit process by preparing required documentation, managing auditor requests, and ensuring timely resolution of inquiries to achieve a smooth and compliant audit outcome.
  • Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley and other internal controls are executed timely, documented accurately, and monitored for compliance with corporate and regulatory standards
  • Identify areas for process improvement and automation, implement best practices, and drive efficiency across accounting operations.
  • Review monthly product line reports to analyze the financial information and provide feedback to the operational leaders to drive efficiencies and cost reductions.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and requests as needed.

Requirements:

  • Preferred:
    • Experience with ERP systems
    • Internal Controls compliance experience
    • CPA certification or progress towards certification
  • Minimum Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum Experience: 
    • 7-10 years of work experience in Accounting/Finance
    • Computer skills including intermediate proficiency in Excel

Enpro carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors including the background, education, training, and experience required, as well as geographic considerations such as cost of labor, and applicable local and state laws. These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is typically $75,000 to $122,000 annually. Actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Bonus, gainshare, and/or equity may be eligible for this position. Enpro offers a range of benefits including, but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) matching, and other supplemental insurance options.​
