Overview of Position:

The HR Generalist will be responsible for providing HR support to drive engagement in the workforce and meet HR business objectives. This role is ideal for a high-performing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving HR excellence across all facets of the employee lifecycle. The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting strategic HR initiatives, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

What’s You’ll Do:

  • Partner with hiring managers to attract top talent, manage the full-cycle recruitment process, and deliver a seamless onboarding experience. 
  • Actively support the HR team to advise leaders on talent and organization decisions and change management efforts.
  • Champion initiatives that enhance employee engagement, recognition, and retention. 
  • Extract data to create and monitor HR metrics to identify business opportunities working with the HR team to implement solutions. Maintain accurate HRIS records and generate reports to support data-driven decision-making. 
  • Partner with the HR team to implement talent strategies, to include executing talent management and succession planning activities within the business and deploying appropriate retention strategies to promote organizational stability, talent succession and development  

 Job Description:

  • Assist in improvement, implementation, and administration of company policies and procedures, and ensure consistent application of these requirements
  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment of new employees including job description development, placing advertisements, developing contacts with recruiting sources, interviewing, and supporting internal hiring managers. Helping develop offer letters, job descriptions, and new hire communications.
  • Creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations
  • Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents
  • Support the benefits administration process by maintaining working knowledge of the company’s benefit plans, leading open enrollment functions including employee education, communication, and wellness activities.  
  • Support processes connected with payroll administration to confirm accurate and timely payrolls.  
  • Assist with wellness, event planning, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, and special projects/committees
  • Safeguard sensitive information including but not limited to salary, personal information, and organizational structure    
  • Ad-hoc administrative tasks in support of Human Resources and organizational clarity.  
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Work Experience Requirement:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field. 
  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist capacity. 
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. 
  • Demonstrated success in building trust and credibility with frontline employees and leadership. 
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred. 

Pay:  $80K - $85K

This job equally operates in a production and professional office environment. The environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts or equipment. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.  Physical requirements further include the ability to engage in productive and collaborative communication and may need to be performed during non-standard hours, including nights, weekends and possibly holidays. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to move about the facility. The employee is required to sit; use hands to finger; handle; or feel/hold objects; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; speak, hear, and smell. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear as well as interact with other employees. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the incumbent must be able to sit/stand and use a computer for extended periods of time.
