Make an Impact Where Safety Isn’t a Program—It’s a Mindset

At Garlock, safety is more than compliance—it’s how we care for each other, every day. We’re looking for an EHS Coordinator who wants to be part of a team where their voice matters, their ideas are valued, and their work directly impacts the well-being of 400+ employees.

This isn’t a behind-the-scenes role. You’ll be visible, hands-on, and influential—partnering with operations, coaching leaders, and helping shape a culture where people go home safe and proud of the work they do.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • You’ll drive real change – Participate in and strengthen a proactive safety culture, not just maintain programs
  • You’ll build relationships – Work cross-functionally with teams at all levels to improve safety outcomes together
  • You’ll grow your expertise – Gain exposure to environmental, health, and safety systems across a global organization
  • You’ll have a voice – Influence how work is done, how risks are managed, and how leaders lead

What You’ll Do

  • Be a trusted partner on the floor, coaching and supporting leaders and employees on safe work practices
  • Lead and support incident investigations, ensuring we learn and improve—not just document
  • Deliver and facilitate engaging safety and compliance training that actually sticks
  • Help maintain regulatory compliance while keeping things practical and actionable
  • Collaborate across teams to drive improvements in safety performance and metrics
  • Serve as a key connection point with external agencies and emergency responders when needed

Who Thrives Here

You’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Speak up, lean in, and aren’t afraid to respectfully challenge the status quo
  • Build trust quickly and can connect with employees on the production floor and in leadership meetings alike
  • Take initiative and bring energy to solving problems, not just identifying them
  • Are highly organized and can manage multiple priorities without losing focus
  • Enjoy being visible, engaging, and hands-on—including delivering training and facilitating conversations

What You Bring

  • Background in environmental health & safety—or equivalent real-world experience
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations (or a strong desire to learn quickly)
  • Confidence building relationships and influencing outcomes at all levels
  • A continuous improvement mindset—you’re always looking for a better way

Our Culture: What Makes Palmyra Different

At Garlock Palmyra, we operate with a dual-bottom line mindset—we believe business success and personal growth go hand in hand.

That means:

  • Leaders who care about their people
  • A workplace grounded in respect and accountability
  • A team that supports each other and celebrates progress
