What You’ll Do:

  • Promote the Enpro Culture by exhibiting the five principles of exemplary leadership: Modeling the Way, inspire a Shared Vision, Enabling Others to Act, Challenging the Process, and Encouraging the Heart.
  • Leads and is responsible for the development and continuous improvement of the AST FP&A function through the enhancement of financial acumen and decision making across the business by explaining financial results including performance drivers, building relationships within and across divisions, improving practices and processes, and bringing value to operational and strategic decisions.
  • Assist in the development of AST strategy and materials to promote strategy activities.
  • Lead AST under the guidance of the VP of FP&A, ensuring consistent communication and alignment with corporate initiatives and priorities.
  • Communicate clearly to Enpro leadership team in quarterly and other business reviews and discussions.
  • Partner with AST business leaders including division presidents, controllers, and other business leaders to provide financial insights to enhance business performance. Serve as a thought partner to build solid strategies and identify potential areas of improvement and opportunity in the business based on financial analysis.
  • Work in team environment to share ideas and best practices across divisions and segments with fellow FP&A and other Enpro leaders.
  • Conduct deliverables audit to identify and eliminate redundant and low-value activities and focus on the highest value opportunities and objectives as defined by the VP FP&A and AST leadership.
  • Forecasting/Planning/Budgeting
    • In collaboration with the business improve accuracy of forecasting and planning to achieve the optimal degree of site collaboration in furthering the alignment of the goals and objectives across AST.
    • Lead the development of annual divisional budgets of the AST businesses, including all relevant site and business unit details in alignment with the VP of FP&A.
    • Lead the Semiconductor annual ten-year forecast/cash flow projection for goodwill impairment test. Support Corporate and AST, external valuation specialist and external auditor throughout the goodwill testing development and audit. 
  • Reporting & Analysis
    • Standardize reporting and analysis across the AST businesses, in addition to ad hoc reporting and analysis.
    • Use analysis to work with controllership and others to understand unexpected deviations or fluctuations in results, as well as deviations from plans and forecasts.
    • Analyze monthly results, identify and understand variances, and share this analysis with the business along with strategic thoughts and future implications.
    • Coordinate the accurate and timely preparation and submission of financial reporting, metrics, and schedules to support Enpro’s monthly and quarterly reporting requirements.
    • Provides required financial reporting and analysis to divisions, segment, and Enpro leadership.
  • Create and develop new processes, perform ad hoc analysis, and critically think to drive improvements in AST including leadership of FP&A automation and other efficiency/performance improvement initiatives.
  • Become a power user for the key FP&A financial systems (OneStream and Power BI).
  • Support data hub project with the global FP&A group to ensure project deliverables are properly prioritized, data is accurate and data-hub structure is in alignment with AST business requirements.
  • Manage Capital Allocation Process within AST.
    • Works with business to establish capital investment priorities and financial returns of alternative options. Consult and support analysis of potential acquisitions with AST leadership and M&A team.
  • Leads initiatives to enhance process accuracy, drive continuous improvement, and increase effectiveness to achieve/exceed financial objectives and targets.
  • Reviews monthly financial results and manages processes to ensure variance analyses are completed and communicated in a timely manner. Works with controllers on financial results and makes recommendations to enhance financial performance.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Extensive business, financial analysis and strategic business experience
  • Exposure to the semiconductor industry is preferred
  • Knowledge of OneStream and/or other Corporate Performance Management software
  • Knowledge of PowerBI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, O365, SharePoint
  • Ability to manage an operating budget
  • Ability to work in Charlotte office fully or hybrid environment
  • Travel occasionally to sites
  • CPA/CMA and/or MBA degree is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred
  • 10 years of experience
