POSITION PURPOSE

The Quality Technician/Inspector supports the quality inspection activities at NxEdge’s refurb/reconditioning operations. This role performs in-process and outgoing inspection of parts and assemblies to ensure adherence to internal and external specifications. The role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to accurately enter data into QMS and ERP systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Quality Inspection Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in process, and outgoing inspections using internal/external specifications.
  • Fill out and store Certificates of Conformance for every assembly.
  • Perform daily calibrations or verifications on equipment.
  • Assist in internal and external audit preparation.
  • Assists the Engineers on RMA failure analysis reports.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to assist in resolving daily issues.
  • Cleanroom package parts after outgoing inspection and verify labels and documentation.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Working knowledge of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot issues with electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience with wiring/circuit board repair is highly beneficial.
  • Basic soldering knowledge.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow standards and procedures.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics and problem solving.
  • Able to use Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Clear written communication for preparing reports and test results.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, and ability to prioritize work.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to learn new equipment, procedures, and specifications quickly.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Associates Degree in a relevant technical field.
  • 2+ years’ experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment, automation, and/or technical experience.
  • Previous technician experience in a semiconductor fab.

PHYSICAL & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds safely without assistance.
  • Must comply with NxEdge Safety Attire Policy, including wearing safety glasses, steel/composite toe shoes, and ear protection as applicable.
  • Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

Perform all other duties as assigned to support Quality and Refurb Operations.
