JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a driven and knowledgeable Product Engineer to support and sustain our portfolio of oil seal products. This role is critical to ensuring product quality, performance, and manufacturability throughout the lifecycle. As the subject matter expert for oil seals, the Product Engineer will provide cross-functional technical leadership and collaborate closely with Applications Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.

Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate engineering documentation, resolving production challenges, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen, hands-on experience with tooling and manufacturing processes, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

General 

• Review and analyze design input requirements to support updates and improvements to existing oil seal products.
• Utilize standard engineering processes, tools, and documentation systems to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Product Line Support

• Serve as the subject matter expert for oil seal products, providing technical guidance and application support to internal teams and customers.
• Create and update CAD drawings for both standard and engineered-to-order oil seal products.
• Design and maintain tooling drawings for manufacturing aids such as fixtures, molds, and jigs, ensuring alignment with production requirements and product specifications.
• Maintain accountability for all engineering documentation, including product and tooling drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and routers.
• Support production teams by troubleshooting manufacturing issues and contributing to process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold and enhance product design integrity, quality standards, and cost competitiveness.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing product performance, manufacturability, and operational efficiency.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required (Mechanical discipline preferred).
• Experience with tool design and familiarity with manufacturing processes required.
• Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD software and engineering documentation tools.
• Experience with quality systems such as ISO 9000, QS 9000, APQP, or equivalent.
• Project Management experience is a plus.
• Value engineering and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) experience is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities effectively.

 Enpro carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors including the background, education, training, and experience required, as well as geographic considerations such as cost of labor, and applicable local and state laws. These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is typically $77,000 - $125,000 annually.
