The People Operations Leader, Americas serves as the operational engine of Enpro's HR model across the region (including the U.S., Canada, and Latin America), ensuring our people programs, processes, and employee experiences enable the business to execute its strategy.

This leader provides vision, direction, governance, and oversight for the consistent execution of people policies, programs, and employee lifecycle support across sites, businesses, and employee populations. Leading a team of approximately 8 People Operations professionals, this leader is accountable for delivering high-quality HR services, effective escalation management, compliance, data integrity, and continuous improvement while building organizational capability across the function.

As a member of the HR leadership team, this role shapes the evolution of Enpro's people operations strategy, service delivery model, and workforce support capabilities. The People Operations Leader serves as the primary owner of employee lifecycle execution, ensuring clear handoffs and effective partnership across HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, Payroll, HRIS, Legal, and site leadership teams.

Partnering closely with site leaders and HR stakeholders, this leader translates business and labor strategies into effective people-process execution and helps Enpro's HR operating model scale with consistency, accountability, and care.

While Charlotte, NC is the preferred location for this position, we will consider qualified remote candidates located within the United States.

What You’ll Do:

Lead and Scale People Operations Across the Americas

  • Provide leadership and direction for People Operations, aligning people policies, programs, and processes with enterprise standards, regional requirements, and business objectives.
  • Coach and develop a team of approximately 8 People Operations professionals, setting clear priorities, performance expectations, and development plans that build capability, accountability, and consistency.
  • Champion a high-quality employee and manager experience by establishing service standards, measuring performance, and continuously improving service delivery.
  • Establish operating rhythms, governance, service standards, and quality controls that promote operational excellence, compliance, and a positive employee and manager experience.
  • Monitor service performance, including responsiveness, accuracy, cycle time, employee satisfaction, and escalation resolution, using insights to improve delivery and team effectiveness.
  • Drive workforce planning and resource allocation to ensure the function scales effectively with Enpro's future growth.
  • Serve as a key contributor to the development and evolution of Enpro's HR operating model and people service delivery capabilities.

Own Employee Lifecycle Execution

  • Oversee lifecycle activities across the region, including onboarding, employment changes, workforce administration, leave management, employee data and records, local program execution, and offboarding.
  • Ensure processes are executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and applicable employment requirements, including activities requiring local coordination, documentation, and manager guidance.
  • Identify and implement improvements that simplify processes, reduce friction, and enhance the employee and manager experience.
  • Ensure operational excellence across employee transactions, records management, workflow execution, and workforce administration.
  • Drive consistency and scalability of employee lifecycle processes across businesses and locations while maintaining compliance with local requirements.

Lead Case Management, Escalations, and Compliance Support

  • Own case intake, documentation, tracking, and escalation processes, ensuring issues are resolved appropriately based on complexity, risk, and business impact.
  • Lead resolution of complex lifecycle and operational escalations, engaging HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and HRIS as required.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and Legal to support employee relations matters through effective case management, documentation, coordination, and follow-through.
  • Maintain operational controls, process documentation, employee records, and audit readiness.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable employment regulations, internal policies, and governance standards across the region.

Drive Consistency, Partnership, and Continuous Improvement

  • Translate enterprise programs and policies into consistent regional execution while accounting for country, state, provincial, business, and site-level requirements.
  • Partner with Operations leaders, HR Business Partners, and site leadership teams to support labor strategy execution, workforce administration, and people-process needs tied to business priorities.
  • Provide feedback to Centers of Excellence and HR leadership regarding program effectiveness, adoption challenges, and regional implementation needs.
  • Lead implementation and adoption of new HR processes, technologies, and service delivery models, ensuring effective change management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Partner with HRIS and Process Optimization leaders to improve data integrity, workflow effectiveness, automation opportunities, and technology adoption.
  • Leverage operational metrics, workforce data, case trends, and service insights to identify improvement opportunities, inform decisions, and enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner with global HR leaders and Centers of Excellence to drive consistency, scalability, and adoption of enterprise-wide practices while addressing regional requirements.

What You’ll Bring:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant depth in HR operations, employee lifecycle management, HR shared services, people services, or HR service delivery.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including coaching, developing, and managing team performance.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment practices and HR compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing employee lifecycle processes, HR service delivery, escalations, documentation, and operational execution.
  • Experience partnering with Operations leaders in a manufacturing, industrial, unionized, multi-site, or highly operational environment.
  • Experience leading organizational change, process improvement, or service delivery transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong communication, judgment, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use metrics and data to improve service delivery and operational performance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing, industrial, or operational environments.
  • Experience leading HR Shared Services, People Operations, Employee Services, or HR service delivery teams.
  • Experience supporting labor strategy execution, site-level HR operations, or employee relations case management.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing HR operating models, shared service organizations, or service delivery frameworks.
  • Experience using operational metrics, case management data, dashboards, or workforce analytics to improve performance.
  • Experience with Workday, UKG, ServiceNow, or similar HR technology platforms.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification.
