Join Enpro’s Technetics Group (TG) as a Human Resources Business Partner and play a key role in shaping a thriving, people-centered, high‑performance manufacturing environment. In this role, you will support leaders and employees at our TG‑Chicago site by applying sound judgment, building strong relationships, and contributing to both day‑to‑day HR needs and long‑term organizational success. You’ll have the opportunity to influence decisions, support a dynamic workforce, and help guide our site through continued growth and evolution.

The Human Resources Business Partner supports and enhances the employee experience, talent processes, leadership effectiveness, and cultural priorities at TG‑Chicago. This role blends hands‑on HR execution with opportunities to provide strategic insight. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting, navigates competing priorities with confidence, and collaborates effectively within a matrixed organization.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build trusted relationships with site leadership, front-line supervisors, and colleagues to understand needs, guide decisions, and support a positive work environment.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on performance management, team dynamics, communication, and employee development.
  • Support employee relations by conducting objective investigations, advising on policy interpretation, while ensuring consistency and support of Enpro values.
  • Apply HR best practices to support the site’s talent processes, including performance reviews, talent calibration, succession discussions, and workforce planning.
  • Support talent acquisition activities by applying sound recruiting judgment. Use insight and influence to support hiring managers and maintain a strong candidate experience.
  • Partner with leaders to understand departmental needs and help align people strategies with operational objectives.
  • Leverage HR metrics, data trends, and workforce insights to propose actions that improve engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner and support employee initiatives, employee engagement programs, training efforts, and cultural development activities.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, internal policies, and Enpro/Technetics Group standards.
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, and HR operational processes to ensure a smooth employee experience throughout the lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with corporate HR partners, shared services, and cross‑site HR colleagues within a matrixed environment.
  • Adapt to evolving responsibilities as our organization continues to refine processes, technology, and HR service models.
  • Occasional travel (up to 10%)

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP) preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working within a matrixed organization preferred.
  • Strong decision‑making skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels, influence leaders, and navigate sensitive workplace matters.
  • Experience in employee relations, talent processes, coaching, and supporting leaders.
  • Ability to understand and execute recruiting activities and pivot fluidly between owning tasks and partnering with TA.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; able to distill complex topics for diverse audiences.
  • Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment with evolving needs and a growth mindset.

Enpro carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors including the background, education, training, and experience required, as well as geographic considerations such as cost of labor, and applicable local and state laws. These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is typically $70,942.44- $106,413.66 annually. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Bonus, gainshare, and/or equity may be eligible for this position. Enpro offers a range of benefits including, but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) matching, and other supplemental insurance options.​
