As a global manufacturing organization, Enpro is fully committed to our businesses and our people, focusing on stability and growth.  Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, this position will be a part of a small, nimble, and autonomous team that manages diverse compliance programs including ethics, trade, government contracting, anti-corruption/bribery, data privacy, fraud, anti-trust, insider trading, money laundering, etc.  The compliance team partners with the business to ensure it operates ethically and maintains compliance in its decision making.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and maintain effective compliance programs at both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement corporate policies across the organization.
  • Design and implement efficient, effective tools and/or control systems, leveraging automation where possible.
  • Engage with personnel, at all levels of the company and in various countries and effectively communicate requirements of laws and regulations.
  • Envision, build, and lead training programs that drive knowledge and awareness of relevant company compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines via in-person training, videoconference training, and using a learning management system (LRN).
  • Develop and implement risk-based auditing plans, including but not limited to, managing external audits, conducting internal audits, and drafting and providing reports and corrective action plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement by verifying corrective actions work as intended and analyzing internal business systems to ensure compliance with industry regulations and ethical standards.
  • Develop and maintain a strong partnership with the legal, IT, and internal audit teams as well as site management.
  • Partner with and manage expenses related to outside counsel on compliance matters.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.
  • Working understanding of multiple compliance areas (Preferred: trade compliance, anti-corruption/anti-bribery, data privacy).
  • Conduct periodic compliance risk assessments and use results to help prioritize program enhancements, training, monitoring and controls.
  • Conduct or support internal investigations, including gathering facts, interviewing relevant personnel, documenting findings, and coordinating corrective actions.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% as needed.

What You’ll Bring:

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience providing strategic direction to leadership, identifying and managing risk, and coordinating initiatives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (including oral, written, and presentation).
  • Project management skills, i.e. time management, organization, research, leadership, etc.
  • Business and international astuteness.
  • Experience in auditing preferred.
  • Experience with international regulations, specifically European Union, and compliance programs preferred.
  • Ability to provide risk-adjusted and practical solutions.
  • Ability to lead by influence and gather support and resources from outside of compliance function.
  • Ability to re-prioritize and balance multiple projects frequently in response to changing business demands and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in law, business administration or relevant field. 
  • Minimum Experience: 5 years’ experience as a Compliance Officer, Compliance Manager, or related functions, such as internal audit, forensic accounting, accounting, investigations, or other risk and control roles.
