Build the Precision Tooling Behind Critical Pharmaceutical Products
Earn $29.91 - $44.87 per hour plus competitive benefits

If you're a skilled machinist, toolmaker, or mold maker who enjoys turning complex designs into real-world solutions, this is an opportunity to make a direct impact on both product development and manufacturing. You'll collaborate with Engineering and R&D to design, fabricate, and improve tooling, fixtures, molds, and prototypes that support innovative pharmaceutical applications, while working in an environment that values craftsmanship, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

The Tool and Die Mold Maker supports product development and manufacturing by designing, fabricating, modifying, and improving tooling, fixtures, molds, prototypes, and precision-machined components that enable new products and reliable production processes. Working closely with Engineering and R&D, this role applies advanced machining expertise to evaluate manufacturability, recommend tooling solutions, and transform concepts and designs into functional manufacturing tools and components.

This position operates with a high degree of independence and technical judgment, determining machining methods, programming approaches, tooling requirements, and fabrication strategies needed to meet quality, performance, and customer requirements. The role plays a key part in ensuring tooling and manufacturing solutions support quality, reliability, and efficient production processes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Fabricate tooling, molds, fixtures, prototypes, and precision components that support product development, manufacturing operations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Translate engineering drawings, concepts, and technical requirements into functional tooling and manufacturing solutions.
  • Support the development and refinement of tooling used in production and cleanroom manufacturing processes.
  • Partner with Engineering and R&D to evaluate designs, provide manufacturability feedback, and recommend tooling and machining solutions.
  • Apply machining and tooling expertise to solve manufacturing challenges, support prototype development, and improve production processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve tooling performance, manufacturability, product quality, and process efficiency.
  • Determine machining strategies, setups, tooling selections, work holding approaches, and manufacturing methods required to produce precision components.
  • Program, set up, and operate manual and CNC equipment to manufacture components that meet dimensional, functional, and quality requirements.
  • Utilize CAD/CAM systems and machining software to support fabrication and documentation activities.
  • Verify conformance to specifications through precision measurement, inspection, and testing techniques.
  • Troubleshoot tooling, machining, and manufacturing issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Maintain machining programs, tooling documentation, and equipment necessary to support ongoing operations.
