What You Bring

You’re a strong fit if you have:

  • A technical degree (bachelor’s preferred) and solid experience in manufacturing or quality control
  • At least two years of supervisory experience leading teams
  • A sharp analytical mindset and confidence working with data and quality systems
  • Familiarity with SPC, measurement systems, and industry‑standard inspection tools
  • A collaborative, solutions‑oriented approach to working with cross‑functional teams
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (a plus, but not required)

Enpro carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors including the background, education, training, and experience required, as well as geographic considerations such as cost of labor, and applicable local and state laws. These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is typically $72,000 - $109,000 annually. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Bonus, gainshare, and/or equity may be eligible for this position. Enpro offers a range of benefits including, but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) matching, and other supplemental insurance options.​

Full Job Description:

Job Summary 

Quality Control (QC) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the inspection and testing of products or materials to ensure they meet quality standards, leading a team of inspectors, and implementing quality control procedures. Key duties include supervising inspection activities, training staff, collaborating with other departments like engineering and production, auditing processes, analyzing data, and making recommendations for quality improvements. Tasks focus on achieving customer satisfaction via product quality and delivery. 

Essential Functions 

  • Supervise and train staff: Lead, train, and manage a team of quality control inspectors, ensuring they follow protocols and use equipment correctly. 

  • Oversee inspections:  

  • Monitor and coordinate the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet specifications and regulatory standards.  

  • Interface with supply chain personnel to resolve purchased material quality issues.  Issue formal supplier non-conformance reports (NCR) and follow-up to verify robust corrective actions.  

  • Proficient in the measurement of parts and tooling via industry accepted measurement devices and systems including, but not limited to, micrometers, verniers, calipers, Pi tapes, non contact/vision/laser devices, coordinate measurement machines and comparators.   

  • Gage Calibration: Lead gage calibration program, conduct gage R&Rs and is knowledgeable on measurement systems analyses in general including destructive measurement systems.  

  • Support, development and implementation of quality control systems: Formulate, document, and maintain quality control standards, procedures, and policies, and help develop inspection plans and control plans. 

  • Collaborate with other departments: Work with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement activities. 

  • Conduct audits and reporting: Regularly audit processes to ensure compliance, collect and analyze data, and create reports on inspection performance and quality metrics. 

  • Ensure compliance: Make sure that all activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements (such as GMPs and ISO standards), and customer specifications. 

  • Improve quality: Provide feedback based on inspection results to recommend changes in specifications, materials, or processes to improve quality and efficiency.  

 Qualifications 

  • A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 5+ years of experience in a related manufacturing or quality control environment; or an associate degree with 7+ years of experience in a related manufacturing or quality control environment is required 

  • Minimum of 2+ years of supervisory experience required.  

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification is a plus.  

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. Familiarity with quality management systems, statistical methods (like SPC), and proficient in Microsoft Office.  

 

Working Conditions 

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, tools, and production processes. 

Physical Requirements 

  • Office and Manufacturing Floor Position: Ability to perform sedentary work, spending extended periods of time working with a computer. Physical effort may include stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.  Clarity of vision to see near and mid-range.  Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
