The Project Engineer is a strategic, technical based and business-oriented role, focusing on delivering solutions to market-based needs. The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects from initiation through completion. This role ensures that projects meet technical requirements, schedule, cost, and quality objectives while serving as the primary liaison between engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and commercial teams. The project engineer is responsible for regular communication with Program Management and managing expectations on execution. Project Engineer plays a critical role in new product development (NPD), supporting design, testing, qualification, and transition to production.

What You'll Do: 

  • Acts as a primary liaison between Design, Contracts Administrator, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales and the customer.
  • Creates and maintains project schedules and timelines from project initiation until completion and transition to production.
  • Asist in project cost estimation and quotation.
  • Coordinate with commercial team to ailing expectations with capabilities, risks, and schedules.
  • Maintain project documentation in accordance with QMS and AS9100 requirement.
  • Communicates regularly with customers and prospective customers and develops and maintains legitimate customer relationships.  
  • Acts as a leader within the company without formal authority and bridges every department that touches products/projects cross-functionally.  
  • Leverages the knowledge of experts inside and outside the company.
  • Ensures project requirements are defined, contract, and contract changes are negotiated, operating budgets established, and financial terms/conditions of contract are identified 
  • Support creation of technical reports, design reviews, test plans, and qualification documentation.

What You’ll Bring:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • 2 years of engineering or manufacturing experience focused on new product development.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fundamentals of design, manufacturing processes, materials, and GD&T.
  • Proficiency with CAD, Configuration management, ERP systems.
  • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with cost estimation, quotes, and budgeting.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. 
  • Demonstrates great interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Demonstrates a professional and positive attitude as well as a passion for continuous improvement.

Enpro carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors including the background, education, training, and experience required, as well as geographic considerations such as cost of labor, and applicable local and state laws. These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is typically $89,651 - $134.477 annually. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Bonus, gainshare, and/or equity may be eligible for this position. Enpro offers a range of benefits including, but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) matching, and other supplemental insurance options.​
