Job description

Leanteq is best-in-class in a very niche part of the semiconductor industry and is looking for quality-oriented people who enjoy working in a great culture to join our team. Our company does chemical cleaning of the manufacturing parts for the semi-conductor industry. Our future Lab Manager (you?!) has the following knowledge, experience and proficiencies.

1. Technical knowledge:

A bachelor's degree in a related field such as Chemistry, Material Science, or Physics and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a semiconductor equipment cleaning laboratory.

2. Equipment proficiency:

a. Hands-on experience: Candidates should have hands-on experience operating and maintaining ICP-MS and LPC.

b. Equipment maintenance: The ability to perform routine maintenance on test equipment and resolve technical issues is necessary.

c. Equipment calibration: Familiarity with equipment calibration procedures and the ability to perform calibrations as necessary is expected.

d. Knowledge of industry standards: Knowledge of relevant industry standards, such as ISO 17025 and SEMI, and their applications in laboratory equipment usage is necessary.

3. Production Support:

a. Parts Prioritization: Ability to work with key stakeholders to prioritize and meet deadlines.

b. Report Generation: Leads team in generating and validating detailed analytical lab reports that our customers rely on for important business decisions.

4. Communication skills:

a. Interdepartmental communication: to effectively communicate and coordinate with various internal departments.

b. Customer communication: The ability to communicate with external customers, including providing technical support and explaining test results.

c. Cultural sensitivity: The ability to work with and communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

5. Independent work:

a. Time management: Strong time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, is necessary.

b. Problem solving: The ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely and effective manner is necessary.

c. Decision-making: The ability to make independent decisions related to laboratory operations and the ability to assume responsibility for the outcomes.

d. Leadership: The ability to lead and mentor laboratory personnel, including setting goals and expectations, providing feedback and coaching.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirement:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree 

Required Experience

  • At least 3 years of Supervisory/Management experience  
  • Senior engineer-level expertise in LPC or ICP-MS, including a deep understanding of principles and troubleshooting capabilities

Preferred Experience:

  • 5 years Analytical Lab experience  
  • 5 years cleanroom experience
  • 3 years ISO 17025 and/or 9001:2015 experience  
  • 3 years ICP-MS experience

This job equally operates in a production and professional office environment. The environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts or equipment. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.  Physical requirements further include the ability to engage in productive and collaborative communication and may need to be performed during non-standard hours, including nights, weekends and possibly holidays. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to move about the facility. The employee is required to sit; use hands to finger; handle; or feel/hold objects; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; speak, hear, and smell. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear as well as interact with other employees. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the incumbent must be able to sit/stand and use a computer for extended periods of time.

Enpro carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors including the background, education, training, and experience required, as well as geographic considerations such as cost of labor, and applicable local and state laws. These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is typically $110,000- $130,000 annually. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Bonus, gainshare, and/or equity may be eligible for this position. Enpro offers a range of benefits including, but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) matching, and other supplemental insurance options.​
