Overview of Position:

The supervisory responsibilities include monitoring and troubleshooting production processes, improving safety and efficiency, and training new employees.  The role also involves updating work schedule and managing production results through ERP systems. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Trains, directs and develops subordinates to meet operating, safety and quality requirements within the department and/or area.
  • Supervises production staff to ensure product quality and integrity and ensures all finished product meets or exceeds customer requirements.
  • Trains and develops production staff regarding policies, procedures, and related responsibilities
    Ensure certification for new employees is completed in timely manner.
  • Schedules workforce to support production needs to ensure efficient production processes, team member leverage downtime for other activities/training.
  • Works closely with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Customer Service to execute the operating plan.
  • Participate in leadership training to build on knowledge and management skills.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.

Experience

  • 3+ years of related field
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to communicate and interface well with others.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Committed, dedicated and self-motivated working ethics, with full ownership of projects or assigned tasks.
  • The desire to strive for continuous improvement and excellence within a fast-paced growth environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and production processes.  
  • Time management: Strong time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, is necessary.
  • The ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely and effective manner is necessary.
  • The ability to make independent decisions related scheduling.  

Pay:  $80K - $85K

This job equally operates in a production and professional office environment. The environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts or equipment. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.  Physical requirements further include the ability to engage in productive and collaborative communication and may need to be performed during non-standard hours, including nights, weekends and possibly holidays. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to move about the facility. The employee is required to sit; use hands to finger; handle; or feel/hold objects; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; speak, hear, and smell. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear as well as interact with other employees. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the incumbent must be able to sit/stand and use a computer for extended periods of time.
